You can deliver packages as long as they do not contain any prohibited items (please refer to the list below). The packages should fit comfortably in the trunk of your vehicle and must be securely closed and sealed, ready for delivery.
Items sent via RushRabbit must adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, as well as RushRabbit’s policies. The shipment of illegal, unsafe, or other prohibited items is strictly forbidden. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: people, illegal items, firearms, weapons, ammunition and their parts, alcohol, highly perishable food or beverages (such as raw meat or dairy products), pharmaceutical products, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, supplements, money, gift cards, lottery tickets, or transferable securities, drugs, drug paraphernalia, tobacco products, dangerous or hazardous items (including explosives), stolen goods, fragile items, sexual aids, obscene or pornographic materials, livestock, regulated species (such as noxious weeds or prohibited seeds), and animal parts, blood, or fluids.
If you suspect the package contains a prohibited or illegal item please do not accept the package. Report the issue in the app and select Suspicious item to cancel the trip. If you suspect that the package contains an illegal item, such as illegal drugs or firearms, and the package is already in your possession, cancel the trip and contact your local non-emergency line You may receive compensation for submitting the item to law enforcement. We will cooperate with any official requests from law enforcement.
After leaving the pickup point, check the app to determine if you need to enter a PIN from the recipient. This proof of delivery PIN allows you to confirm that you’ve dropped off the package and notifies the sender of its arrival. Upon reaching the drop-off location, the app will remind you to have your phone ready for the recipient to provide the PIN. Simply tap the blue “Enter PIN” button at the bottom of the screen and input the 4-digit PIN given by the recipient. Once the PIN is successfully matched, your trip will automatically end, and you will receive a confirmation message.
If the recipient cannot provide the correct PIN, tap “I need help” in the app and select “Can’t confirm PIN” to contact the customer who ordered the delivery. If you’re still unable to confirm the PIN but the recipient is present to receive the package, you can choose the option to “Deliver without PIN.” However, if the recipient is not available, select “Unable to deliver,” and Uber Support will assist you in coordinating the return of the package.
Yes, you can decline a request to pick up and deliver a package or cancel the delivery, provided that you adhere to RushRabbit's Community Guidelines.
If the recipient is not at the drop-off location within 5 minutes of your arrival, do not end the trip. Instead, reach out to the sender through the app to coordinate the drop-off. The on-trip agenda will display the recipient’s name, drop-off address, and options to call or message them directly. To contact the sender, scroll down to the delivery details and tap the three dots to access the call or message options. If the sender or recipient requests that you return the package to the pickup location, please note that the fare for the return trip will be added to your overall trip fare. If they ask you to leave the package at the recipient’s door, this must be confirmed in writing as part of the special delivery instructions or via a message in the app. Your time is valuable, and you will receive a cancellation fee as long as you have arrived at or are en route to the pickup location before the rider cancels the delivery.
